Selecting the Right EMPLOYER- where the cross meets the road.

I've talked a lot about organizations and employers selecting the right people  but this selection process is a two way street.  If you aren't being just as selective regardng who you work for, you may make a huge mistake. Let's face it, if you need money and you accept a job with an employer you don't align with, how likely are you to enjoy that job, once the financial pressure dies down?  Then, you find yourself stuck. You can't just walk away because that would look bad on your rep.  So you stick it out, underperforming, no joy, for a year or two.

So let me give you some help if I could-

First- know your life's purpose-  email me for a free tool to help with that- jeff@righteousfreeenterprise.net
Second-  integrate that purpose into your thinking- what fields would be good for me? Pray about how God would use you-  "He's leads me down PATHS of righteousness for his name's sake" (Psalm 23)  Once you know your purpose, you will realize that opportunities open for you to express it.  My family doctor also has a teaching gift, so he both treats patience and runs a teaching clinic as the local University. He could do either.  

Research the type of companies that align with your purpose (their competence aligns with yours)-- Go to their website. Click on the "About Us" link. Read carefully what they say about themselves.  Choose a potential employer with whom you align regarding Vision, Purpose and Values-  What does the company want to accomplish? Does it excite you? (this means it will align with your passion).  Can you help them? Can you add value?

Note: don't settle here. You might even have to relocate to get this but the joy of finding the right organization is worth a lot. pray about it- seek the Lord-  ask your friends to pray with you---- don't settle-- test out to find out.
